Lake Erie Systems and Services, Inc. Acquires the
TI / Genicom 8920 / 8930 Printer Business.

ERIE, PA. November 6, 2000 - Lake Erie Systems and Services, Inc of Erie, Pennsylvania announced today the purchase of the TI / Genicom 8900 printer business from IER, Inc. 
 
Lake Erie Systems purchased all rights, including marketing and manufacturing, plus all inventory of printers, spare parts, options and ribbons. Aubrey Brickhouse, IER VP, states in a letter to customers dated November 3, 2000 "Lake Erie Systems is a leading supplier of computing and printer solutions. The sale of the 8900 printer business to Lake Erie Systems ensures that you will continue to receive the very highest level of support for the 8900 printers, both today and in the future." 
 
The 8900 series products are heavy duty, multi-copy forms printers used in office, warehouse, automotive and manufacturing environments. The printer was originally designed, manufactured and sold by Texas Instruments. In 1996 Genicom purchased the entire TI printer division. IER bought the 8900 printer business from Genicom along with the entire transportation product division during the Genicom reorganization in June of this year.
 
According to Dennis Dolan, President of Lake Erie Systems, “We are very proud to announce the acquisition of the 8900 series product line. Considering our long history of success and involvement in the TI printer business, we feel that it is fitting that the 8900 printer family should be added to our business.
